Former NFL St. Louis Cardinals Coach Jim Hanifan Dies At 87

(Undated) —  Family and friends are mourning the passing of former NFL St. Louis Cardinals coach Jim Hanifan.  The California native died Tuesday at the age of 87.  Hanifan joined the NFL in 1973, serving as offensive line coach for the Cardinals until 1978.  He was their head coach from 1980 to 1985.  Hanifan returned to St. Louis in 1997 as a coach for the Rams, helping them win their first and only Super Bowl title. He then became a color analyst on Rams broadcasts.
