One woman was taken to Royal Inland Hospital with life threatening injuries this morning after a fire at a trailer park in Westsyde.
Firefighters were called to the 800-block of Grant Road just after 3:30 this morning. RCMP were notified about the incident about ten minutes later.
Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says when officers got there, they found the house was fully engulfed, and that KFR had removed a woman from the affected home.
“Police officers on scene also took two male youth into custody that were in the area,”said Shelkie. “Their involvement in the fire, if any, is unknown at this time.”
There is no indication at this time what might have caused the blaze, but the fire is believed to be suspicious in nature.
Shelkie says fire investigators will begin their investigation when it is safe to do so.
A witness told Radio NL the whole trailer park is taped off and only residents and emergency personnel are being allowed in.
